UK Energi sponser great new football charity
When it comes to advertising, sponsorship and brand building, companies have a choice where their money goes.
As it’s 2026. we all have to do the Google/Facebook/TikTok thing to get the advertising out to the general public.
But there are more philanthropic and charitable things we can also to to raise awareness of the business.
We are proud to announce we have joined Marching on Forever, a fantastic scheme launched by Leeds United football club to look after the well-being of former players.
Making the transition from training, playing and repenting a famous football club every week to normal life isn't always smooth, and Marching on Forever is there to support former players.
The health and well being of any former players who have pulled on any team’s shirt is of paramount importance to everyone at the clubs they played for, and the launch of an association to help former players reconnect and be part of the future at those clubs is a fantastic idea.
Former title-winning Whites defender Tony Dorigo, who is leading the formation of the Leeds based group, said: “It is great Leeds United have agreed to set up a former players association, this is a proud day in the club’s history.
“So many clubs throughout the country have launched former player associations, particularly over the last decade and there are so many success stories within them.
“I’m looking forward to meeting and working with as many former players as possible who have been fortunate to call Elland Road home and I can’t wait to get started.”
It doesn’t matter what team someone plays for, or at what level, we think it’s important to offer our support to ex-players and keep the bond between players, club and fans strong.
