Save Money - Go Solar With UK Energi
There are many reasons why solar is the perfect choice for powering your home but the main one is: It saves you money.
A typical domestic solar energy system can save UK homeowners up to 70% on their annual electricity bills.
As well as saving money on bills, you can make money by selling your excess energy back to the grid via your utility provider.
Solar energy will also enhance the EPC rating of your property - by up to 15 points.
From solar panels and air source heat pumps to EV Chargers and battery storage, we cater for domestic, commercial, developers, and new builds.

What's in a solar system
Solar panels
Solar panels are large, flat units containing PV Cells made of silicon. Silicon is a Photovoltaic (PV) material that generates electricity when hit by photons (light particles). We install 460 Watt Akio, black-on-black panels with an efficiency of 22%. That means a 10-panel system has a peak output of 4.6 kWh.
Inverter
The inverter is the brain of your solar energy system. It directs any energy generated by your panels into your home or out to the grid. Hybrid inverters, the most common type in domestic solar systems, also manage any battery storage, EV chargers or diverters.
Batteries
While storage isn’t an essential part of a solar energy system, we would always recommend that you add them. Batteries allow you to store your energy and use it later. So, you can fill your batteries up during the day, or at off-peak times, and use that energy whenever you need to.
Diverters and EV Chargers
Once again, not essential, but certainly recommended. A diverter, often called an iBoost after the industry’s most popular brand, is a device that takes surplus energy and directs it towards an immersion heater or hot-water tank.

Healthier Bank Balance - Greener Home
Apart from saving £100s a year on energy bills, one of the major advantages of solar is it also reduces your carbon footprint.
But, during these days of increasing prices and spiralling bills, being green isn't always a priority.
The great thing about solar energy systems is they lower your bills while lowering your effect on the planet – it’s a win/win situation.
The less fossil fuels we use to power our homes, the better it is for our community, future generations and the planet.
Seems like an obvious choice to us!

Save Money on Bills
It’s a cliché and well-worn marketing line, but that’s because its true – solar energy systems save you money on your bills. The numbers are between 70% and 90%, which makes sense because every 1 kWh you generate yourself is a saving on what you would pay your energy supplier.
Earning Money from Export
In addition to the money you save by generating your own electricity, you can sell any excess energy to your supplier via an SEG (Smart Export Guarantee) scheme. Rates vary from supplier to supplier, but if your electricity isn’t being used, you may as well get paid for it.
Increase Your Home’s Value
It’s true, but it’s not the value of the solar energy system that boosts your property value. Nope, it’s the increase in your EPC rating. A solar energy system can add a whopping 15 points to your rating, which can take you from a ‘D’ to a ‘C’, making your house much more saleable.
Independence From ‘The Grid’
We can't promise you'll never pay another bill, but we can give you more control over your household budget. Energy prices are affected by everything from global politics to the weather, but if you produce your own electricity, you can dodge the worst of those fluctuating prices.

The British weather is absolutely perfect for solar panels. Panels generate electricity from daylight, rather than direct sunlight, so they work even on the cloudiest days. Plus, if panels get too warm they are less efficient.
We have no idea how this one keeps being repeated. Obviously solar panels do have a carbon footprint, everything does, but the footprint of a panel is no more excessive than your windows or that new kitchen. This is actually the exact opposite - a solar energy system will increase the value of your home or, at least, make it more saleable. The addition of a solar energy system will add up to 15 points to your EPC rating.
All ways of creating energy have an efficiency. This is the amount of source material (coal/oil/sun) you need to put in compared to the amount of energy you get out. Coal is 33%, oil is 60%, wind is 50% and solar is 22%. Luckily the sun produces 1.4 kW per square meter, so 22% is plenty but the efficiency of solar panels is increasing every year.
It's not just saving money day-to-day though, we have found that over the lifetime of a system, the average customer gets an ROI (Return on Investment) of almost 370%. Compare that to an average savings account and you can certainly see the appeal.
Solar energy can save you up to 70% on your bills, you can earn money from exporting energy, and it will increase your EPC rating and therefore the value of your home. On top of all that, solar is a renewable energy and will reduce your carbon footprint.
